Fortnite Ranked just dropped amidst the Battle Royale’s latest collaboration with Star Wars, and fans want to know if Lightsabers are in the new competitive mode.

To celebrate Star Wars Day, the iconic franchise invaded Fortnite with new weapons, quests, and skins in the Item Shop. Along with the return of Darth Vader and Clone Troopers, three new Lightsabers entered the Battle Royale.

As fans adjusted to the new meta, Epic Games announced the surprising release of Fortnite Ranked. Players can now progress through eight Ranks as they rack up eliminations and wins in either Battle Royale or Zero Build.

Players can find and wield Lightsabers in Fortnite Ranked. Unlike the previous Arena ruleset, the new mode includes noncompetitive features, like Lightsabers. Unfortunately, Epic Games discontinued Arena with the addition of Fortnite Ranked.

Lightsabers are an easy weapon to help you quickly increase your Rank. Each Lightsaber gives you a specific Force ability that will give you an advantage against enemies. Plus, the Lightsaber’s Force jump and added stamina make rotations significantly easier.

Darth Maul’s red Lightsaber is by far the best option in the game. The weapon allows you to throw objects from your surrounding environment at enemy players. Not only can the Lightsaber inflict damage to an opponent’s health, but it can also destroy structures they are possibly hiding in.
