Fortnite is crossing over with Lego in the very near future.

Fortnite and LEGO, a partnership made in heaven. The two are not new to one another, as the LEGO Group partnered up with Epic Games in April of 2022 to help kids gain access to tools, and opportunities to play and learn in a “safe and positive space”. Yet, to actually cross over with one another in game form was a concept not truly explored.

Until now. A Twitter user, GMatrixGames, who is deemed by some as reliable, claimed that an expected, in-game pairing between the color block builders and Fortnite, dubbed Fortnite x LEGO, is expected to take place this year.

This Twitter user believes they found test servers for the project, with a tentative release in version 26.00 of the game, putting the debut sometime in September, unless things change. That means that it’ll arrive in Chapter 4, Season 4, as long as there are no hiccups.

While it’s unclear what will come with this update, GMatrixGames believes that the collab will feature a LEGO-themed island, but stresses “this will not be for normal UEFN builders to use”.

Also, it’s stated that the Unreal Editor For Fortnite, aka Creative 2.0/UEFN, has a new “Brick Database” that’s being built as well.

What should Fortnite fans expect with this crossover?

There really are endless options for a LEGO-themed crossover. You could have customizable LEGO back bling characters, not too mention a weapon that shoots bricks, and if you want to get really wild, a brand new map where every building, tree, and object there within is designed like a toy brick. So instead of a castle with stone, it’s a LEGO brick castle and instead of harvesting stone, you harvest nothing but bricks.

That would be wild and exactly what Fortnite should be about. Pure lunacy.
