Fans of Creed may be getting a long-awaited Fortnite crossover.

Fortnite has done a lot of crossovers in its time. It’s pretty much the biggest profit earner for the franchise these days, and it’s part of the reason why we’re constantly flooded with Marvel and Star Wars-themed crossovers. The crossovers don’t just stop with the House of Mouse, however, they also venture into other avenues as well.

Things like other video game companies, music, and even athletes have popped up in the Fortnite store from time to time. They’ve done a few big-time sports crossovers and a few big-time film crossovers recently but they haven’t done many big-time sports-focused film crossovers recently, if at all, but that may change sooner rather than later.

According to Shiina, a respected Twitter user who data mines, Fortnite may be planning for a massive crossover event with the upcoming Creed III film, the spinoff series of the iconic Rocky franchise. The Creed franchise features Michael B. Jodan as Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky character Apollo Creed.

A Fortnite x Creed III crossover would be huge for the sports fans of Fortnite

Fortnite does a bit to satiate the sports fandom of Fortnite. Patrick Mahomes, LeBron James, and Giannis Antetokounmpo have all been added to the game but there are so many other opportunities and characters they could be pulling from.

Creed represents a great step forward to tapping the sports market that has largely been underdeveloped.

That said, we hope Creed isn’t the only character that pops up either, as his on-screen father Apollo (played by Carl Weathers), Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), Ivan Drago (Dolph Lundgren) and Creed III villain Damian Anderson (Jonathan Majors) would also all be wonderful additions to the game as well.
