Fortnite Chapter 4, Season 1 is a month old, so when is the first update gaming?

As a player, I’ve only been around since the last season of Chapter 2. So there are plenty of players who have been around longer than me and may have a vastly different opinion about what’s about to be said; but honestly, Chapter 4, Season 1 has been the best season of Fortnite I’ve ever played.

It’s not perfect, and there are some balancing issues I’d like to see get addressed, but for the most part, it’s been awesome. Largely due to the new and rare weapons like the Shockwave Hammer, the Ex-Caliber Rifle, and now the new Guardians Shield.

They’re all very interesting and a lot of fun to use, mostly. Yet, after a month of playing, fans are wondering when we’re getting the next update. An update that will, hopefully, have the next cool item of the season; the Oathbound Tracking Drone.

When does the first update of Chapter 4, Season 1 arrive?

Fortnite’s latest update, v23.20 isn’t expected for at least the next two weeks, according to Twitter user iFireMonkey. They claim that the game’s next two weeks have been fully implemented already into the files. This means that Jan. 17 could be the earliest it arrives.

Though, a release next week is not out of the question, according to the well-respected data miner.

What could come with the update is anyone’s guess. It could include the Oathbound Tracking Drone, as well as some weapon balancing. Likely, though, it’ll include some major updates to the story as well.

We may get new quests and some more hints as to who the Rift Warden of Chapter 4 is, and possibly even a new boss to battle. Be it the Rift Warde or someone else.

Either way, fans are excited about what to expect in the coming weeks of Fortnite.
