What three Doctor Who characters should join Fortnite?

If the rumors are to be believed, Fortnite and Doctor Who are coming together for an upcoming crossover, which may be well over a year away. It could come in time for the Doctor Who special in October. At this point, no one really knows.

The show is preparing for its 60th anniversary, which will begin next autumn, and will introduce Ncuti Gatwa as the 14th Doctor, probably as early as the upcoming special. With the semi-hiatus the show is currently on, the specials are really the only thing advancing the plot.

If fans get their first look at Gatwa as the doctor in the upcoming special, then it would make sense that a crossover with Fortnite is imminent. If it is, who should pop up in the game?

One name that won’t be on this list is Jack Harkness, played by John Barrowman. Barrowman has been embroidered in some controversies as of late and with how Fortnite likes to avoid that type of conflict at all costs it makes sense he wouldn’t be included.

Rose Tyler

While everyone has their favorite companion, it seems almost universal that Rose Tyler is the most popular of the Doctor Who characters who share this duty. The companion is a major player in the Doctor Who mythos, not just joining the Doctor on their adventures but oftentimes providing a relatable insight into the experience and the alien Doctor Who character. Of all the companions, Rose Tyler seems like the best fit.

The 10th Doctor (David Tennant)

Going from the most popular companion to the most popular Doctor is David Tennant’s version, the 10th Doctor. I couldn’t begin to tell you why he’s the most popular, other than Tennant being a fantastic actor, but if anyone was going to get a slot, why not him?

The 14th Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa)

Ncuti Gatwa will be the latest version of the Doctor, and if you’re doing a crossover that centers around the 60th anniversary, or at the very least the 14th Doctor’s arrival, you have to include Gatwa’s version. It’s timely, topical, and just fits with how Fortnite prioritizes relevancy.
