Fortnite has revealed Brie Larson as The Paradigm in the new Fortnite trailer.

Brie Larson, star of television and film can add another credit to her growing list of accomplishments, as she is officially a video game character. A playable one at that. Larson will feature in the upcoming season of Fortnite as The Paradigm, one of the members of the heroic Seven.

She follows Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as an A-Lister turned Fortnite playable character. Johnson was revealed at the end of Chapter 2 as the man under the Foundation helmet. Granted neither character is actually the person they’re portrayed by. Both characters just look like Johnson and Larson, they aren’t alternate reality versions of themselves.

This opens up the door for the other members to possibly be revealed as celebrities as well, seeing as how some of the characters still haven’t been revealed.

It’s really hard to tell that’s Brie Larson in Fortnite

As cool as it is to see Brie Larson in Fortnite, her character model is kind of generic. When The Rock was revealed as The Foundation, it was obvious who it was. Yet, this model of Larson is kind of generic and every-woman-y.

It’s partially down to the fact that Larson isn’t known for any single look, as Johnson is for his shaved head and iconic eyebrow. Fortnite’s characters aren’t exactly the most detailed either. So the minor things that set people apart aren’t exactly going to be visible in the game mode.

That said, it’s still pretty cool that the game can land a talent like Larson and there are actually more iconic characters of hers that could one day come to Fortnite beyond just Captain Marvel. After all, Larson had a huge role in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, so if the folks at Epic Games ever decided to bring them in, it would surely be a welcomed addition.

Plus it would give Larson another character to play as.
