If you’re a Fortnite player, be careful you don’t get banned for doing this.

It’s not uncommon for Fortnite to ban people for a variety of reasons. Usually, it’s kids who are underage, or players using cheats to win. That isn’t all you’ll get banned for, unfortunately. If you misbehave in any way, Fortnite will usually drop the ban hammer on you, and since it’s mostly automated, good luck getting unbanned.

Somehow, there is yet another new way to get banned. If you’re a player looking for people to share your fun with, you better be careful to not overdo it. According to iFireMonkey, Fornite is now banning players from abusing the new social features on the website.

If you use the Looking For Party feature in the game but you use it to excess, you will seemingly get banned from the game. The feature allows players to look for other users who like playing similar game modes. This was all possible thanks to the new social tag option.

You can join up with different players according to the type of game or the preferences listed in one’s profile. It does seem to be a ban from only using the feature, however, not the game. As iFireMonkey tweets out that the message from Fortnite says;

"‘Due to your recent behavior you have been banned from using Looking For Party.’"

Fortnite banning players is nothing new

This isn’t surprising nor is it upsetting. Players who complain about the bans often use features improperly or abuse features. So Fortnite dropping the hammer on guys isn’t surprising in the least.

If you’re getting reported for using the new social features, one has to wonder what exactly you’re doing and who you’re pissing off, because this feature seems like a wildly easy thing to avoid abusing.
