3 more first person characters we want in Fortnite alongside Doom Guy
By Chad Porto
If Doom Guy comes to Fortnite, we have some other first-person characters we’d like.
Rumors are rumors for a reason, and we shouldn’t put our entire faith in them as fans. Yet, some rumors are just fun to think about, like the recent rumor that Doom Guy of the eponymous Doom video game series will be coming into Fortnite. At least, that’s how the rumor goes.
It’s possible fans get him soon, even before the new season but at this rate, if we do get Doom Guy, he’ll likely debut at the start of Chapter 3, Season 4. His arrival would be huge and fans would surely make him one of the most purchasable characters ever.
His arrival in the coming weeks also makes the most sense due to the game he hails from being a very spooky outing, and with Halloween right around the corner, what better way to celebrate a horror-action icon like Doom Guy?
We’re just hoping that if he does arrive, Fortnite doesn’t limit itself to just one legend from a first-person franchise. So who are some other names we want to see?
Three other first-person icons we want in Fortnite
Joanna Dark – Perfect Dark
We couldn’t think of a more deserving person to go into Fortnite than Joanna Dark of Perfect Dark fame. The Rare first-person shooters in the late 90s were the go-to console games for first-person action and while Joanna Dark may be a bit lost to time, her initial contributions should be celebrated by way of inclusion in the game.
James Bond – Golden Eye
This is unlikely to ever happen, admittedly, but if they could get James Bond, more specifically the Pierce Brosnan version of James Bond from the Golden Eye video game, fans would certainly lose their mind. Especially with the news that Golden Eye is coming to Switch Online.
Duke Nukem – Duke Nukem
Much the way Spyro became the mascot for Skylanders, should Fortnite and Epic Games ever just acquire the rights to Duke Nukem, a toned-down version of the character would fit perfectly in the video game world of Fortnite. He may not b the most popular character currently but a re-design for a younger audience may make him relevant once again.
