Fortnite may be bringing in a horror icon for Chapter 3, Season 4.

Fortnite needs to up its game for Chapter 3, Season 4. The bulk of season three, which was nearly three+ months long, was not only lackluster but was wildly disappointing. Many items that fans were promised never came to fruition and frankly, it’s going to be a long time before fans forget the No Sweat Summer debacle.

They seem to be starting off Season 4 strong. The new season is already rumored to be bringing back a prominent character from previous seasons, as well as a Battle Pass loaded with Marvel characters. We don’t know who else is coming in alongside the Battle Pass, after all, the Dragon Ball crew, Destiny 2 characters, and Patrick Mahomes all came in at the end of season three, while Obi-Wan Kenobi came in at the tail end of season two.

So it’s very possible that the Marvel crew is far from the only big names coming into season four.

So fans can expect a Marvel battle pass but that doesn’t appear to be all, however. Despite Fortnite being a pretty PG game, with minimal extreme elements to it (if any), a major horror movie icon seems to be coming into the game come Season 4.

From Elm Street to Fortnite, here comes Freddy Kruger, maybe

It’s always good to take rumors with a grain of salt, because you never know what characters may be coming in, and when they’re going to arrive. Fans are still waiting for Doom Guy and someone from Family Guy to arrive after being revealed in leaks from Epic Games themselves.

Yet, one rumor going around is that Freddy Kruger could be heading to Fortnite for Chapter 3, Season 4. It wouldn’t be the first time a horror character has arrived, as the Xenomorph from Alien and the Demogorgon from Stranger Things have all been brought in at various points in the game’s history.

Kruger rose to fame in the 1980s as the main villain of the Nightmare on Elm Street films, and with Season 4 happening around Halloween, it makes sense that he’d be part of the character additions for the season.
