The rumors keep coming, as Doc Brown from Back to the Future may debut in Fortnite.

The rumors for Chapter 3, Season 4 are getting wild. From Marvel serving as the rumored Battle Pass to multiple horror franchises coming in, it seems like Fortnite knows they need to step up and deliver some big hits to make up for the lackluster Season 3.

Yes, Season 3 brought in Dragon Ball, Destiny, and Patrick Mahomes at the end, but so many missed opportunities, unfulfilled promises and the like will truly be the defining memory of the season. There was no “Vibin” for the fans during the sweatiest of months.

So with the rumor that Doctor Emmett Brown (aka Doc Brown) from the iconic science fiction franchise Back to the Future will be joining the Fortnite stable of characters, you better believe this is a sign that those at Epic Games know they have to hit this season out of the park.

Fortnite has to get Season 4 right and Back to the Future may just help them do that.

Going to the well of pop culture is a double-edged sword for Fortnite. Many fans want more original items and characters brought into the game, but the big-time pop culture icons like Doc Brown bring in fans both old and new.

So while originality is important, so is maintaining a level of excitement. It’s fair to say that bringing in Brown and maybe more Back to the Future characters would be capable of generating 1.21 gigawatts of excitement.

The first film may be nearly 40 years old, but it’s as iconic as ever and the cast is as beloved as ever. Christopher Lloyd is still acting into his 80s, while Michael J. Fox remains a fixture in the spotlight despite his Parkinson’s disease, and Lea Thompson has become a major player as a director for Star Trek and Resident Alien.
