Destiny 2 has brought characters to Fortnite for fans to purchase.

Fortnite has done a lot of great crossovers and fans are loving the recent Dragon Ball event that is currently going on in the game. While not nearly to the same level as Dragon Ball, Fortnite and Epic Games have brought in three characters from the hit first-person shooter, Destiny 2.

The Bungee Games product was hinted at a few days ago, with their debut imminent and they debuted in the game on Tuesday night. The three characters who are coming to the game are The Exo Stranger, Commander Zavala, and Ikora Rey.

The Destiny series has had an up and down history in the gaming landscape but they’ve mostly come out the other side and have found their player base. Much like Fortnite, it’s largely an online game, and so there’s probably a decent player base that crossovers over with both games.

The trailer for Destiny 2 characters is quite awesome

I’m not a big Destiny guy myself, so I’m not too familiar with the game. Yet, it sure seems as though the brand fits well within the greater Fortnite landscape.

In the trailer, we see the three characters, The Exo Stranger, Commander Zavala, and Ikora Rey, arrive just in time to save what appears to be Lynx, from a horde of enemies. It’s hard to see all of them but a miniature version of The Monster from the earlier version of Fortnite. This creature famously battled The Mecha Team Leader and had been hinted at returning for the end of Chapter 3, Season 2.

The creature’s return in the trailer may hint at a new game mode coming if it hints at anything at all. Considering that Destiny has a similar gameplay to Fortnite, there may be a new mode coming soon for players to try out. Though that’s just speculation.
