Three locations we think you should try landing at in Fortnite.

There are a few places on the map in Fortnite season 3 that you can land that should be relatively clear of opponents and can also supply you with a good amount of loot to help you begin your objective to earn a victory royale. Let’s look at a few underrated places to land that can help you accomplish that goal.

Underrated places to land in Fortnite season 3: Island northwest of Rave Cave

More westward than northbound, but northwest of the Rave Cave location sits a small island. On this island there are several big rocks and barrels full of fishing poles. There is always at least one treasure chest on this island and some matches as many as three. In addition to whatever loot you can get from the treasure chest(s), you can grab a fishing pole and catch fish from the multiple fishing spots. Every match I’ve landed on this small island there have been several, in the upwards of five to seven fishing spots where you can catch shield fish, slurp fish and jellyfish to build your shields up, zero point fish to help with fighting, and floppers should you get an unlucky storm circle to begin the match and need to do a great distance of running.

Also, once in a while there will be a boat near this island as well that is full of more chests, ammo boxes, slurp barrels, and more.

Underrated places to land in Fortnite season 3: Barns southwest of Greasy Grove

There is a group of barns located directly south of Reality Falls, southwest of Greasy Grove, near the bottom of the map, this is a very underrated place to land in Fortnite. There is so much here to make landing here beneficial. First off, there is enough loot regardless if you’re playing solo, duos, trios, or squads, there are several chests among the multiple barns.

Secondly, there are tons of ways to gain shields here, before you even get to opening chests looking for mini shield potions, big shield potions, and shield kegs, you can find produce boxes, slurp barrels, and tons of bouncy slurpshrooms.

Also at this location is a bounty board, should you feel the need or want to complete bounties and there is always a truck that can be driven out if you need to make a quick getaway from opponents who landed at the same place or if you have a long distance to get into the circle.

Underrated places to land in Fortnite season 3: House on island east of Lazy Lagoon

The last of the three underrated places to land in the current season of Fortnite is the house on the far east side of the map. If this location is late on the path that the battle bus is dropping, you can almost guarantee this whole house and island to yourself. The house is full of treasure chests, ammo boxes, produce boxes, and more. In addition to all the available loot here, there is also a character, Evie, from whom you can buy chug splashes, a rare sidearm pistol, and a ripsaw launcher from in exchange for gold. Go to the far east side of the house and down towards the water there is also a boat landing should you want to hop on a boat and try to get to the circle that way. Otherwise, on the western part of the island, there is a zipline you can use to get off the island quickly.

Should you be fortunate enough to get a good circle and be able to avoid a round of the storm, the Ruins are nearby, just a bit southwest of the island, and provide the opportunity to find even more loot and potentially better weapons.

Give these three locations a try during your next game of Fortnite, you may just find a new favorite place to land.
