Rumors have it that Luke Skywalker could be coming to Fortnite soon.

Fortnite’s long-standing relationship with Star Wars and Disney proper is not new. The gaming franchise has already brought in Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader alone in the last few months, not to mention their seemingly annual event where fans can use lightsabers, and it seems pretty obvious that the franchises are on good terms.

The game has also featured characters from The Mandolorian, and it makes sense they’d use other characters, more iconic ones, like the trio from the original trilogy. This has been hinted at for 2023, with Han Solo, Leia Organa, and Luke Skywalker supposedly in the works.

Yet, one Twitter user believes Luke Skywalker is on his way to the game. The only thing is, it isn’t likely to be a costume that fans can buy. Not yet anyway. According to FNBRintel on Twitter, the Luke Skywalker in question is an NPC and may be on the island in the not too distnat future.

Fortnite bringing in a Luke Skywalker outfit would be huge

Star Wars is a huge property and Luke Skywalker is a huge name, and while it feels weird to say it, it’s so true but the character has been hugely underused and misused since his core story wrapped in the late 1980s.

Despite so many other characters getting prequels, sequels, and the like, Luke Skywalker’s turn in Fortnite has been arguably the worst. He was so misused in the sequel trilogy that the actor portraying him, Mark Hamil, made subtle comments about how he’s not happy with how he was presented.

So any media that gives the character a chance to be used properly, as we saw in the Mandorlorian, is a property I think fans will truly embrace. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait too long on Luke Skywalker’s arrival.
