The Galaxy Cup returns July 16, exclusive to Android

Fortnite fans can really play the game anywhere, can’t they? Whether it’s on your PlayStations 4 and 5, whatever ridiculous and confusing name Xbox is going by these days, the Nintendo Switch, or your PCs, Fortnite is free for anyone and everyone. Yet, the cross-play service isn’t just on PCs and consoles.

Nope, you can play Fortnite on your phone. That’s right, if you have a modern cellphone, you can now hop online and play Fortnite with your buddies.

That’s not all, however, as fans of Fortnite who want to play the game on their mobile device can now do so in tournaments. Epic Game’s cash cow, Fortnite, has partnered up with Samsung to create a brand new tournament exclusive to Android users.

What are the details of this new tournament?

Fans looking to participate in this new Android tournament can do so on July 16 and 17. Any and all Android devices can be used to participate in the action. The game mode selected for the tournament is a Zero Build, single-player, battle royale, and players who participate can earn a new outfit called “Khari”, and “Truth’s Quiver” back bling for free before they’re added to the store later in the summer.

If you earn just eight points you’ll be rewarded with the Galaxy Creation Spray.

The tournament’s called the Galaxy Cup 3, and the scoring looks like this;

"Victory Royale: 30 points2nd: 25 points3rd: 22 points4th: 20 points5th: 19 points6th: 17 points7th: 16 points8th: 15 points9th: 14 points10th: 13 points11th – 15th: 11 points16th – 20th: 9 points21st – 25th: 7 points26th – 30th: 5 points31st – 35th: 4 points36th – 40th: 3 points41st – 50th: 2 points51st – 75th: 1 point"

You’ll also earn one point for each elimination.

Players can participate in seven matches across a two-hour time window, with the timing for each region being listed in the Compete tab-in game. You’ll need the 2FA enabled and be verified via Epic to challenge for the Cup, while also being at level 50 on your account.
