Fortnite’s newest character, Phaedra, proves it’s Halloween somewhere.

Fortnite is bringing in Phaedra to the store come July. The dark and gothic new character arrives in Fortnite in July as part of the Crew Pack monthly subscription and will replace the Mecha Strike Commander as the monthly add-on for subscribers.

In addition to the pack, anyone who purchases the subscription will also be signed up for the Battle Pass as well, so there is some added value there. Now, I’ve never purchased this but according to others, if you already have the Fortnite Battle Pass, a 950 V-Buck payment will be given to you.

So what does the new Phaedra pack come with? Of course the Phaedra Outfit, then she comes with the Ceph Back Bling, as well as the Stygian Parasol Pickaxe, and a glider called the Gothic Shadesoarer. Not only that but you get the sick Inky Reflection loading screen, the ability to use her in Fortnite Save the World, on top of 1,000 V-Bucks, and the Chapter 3, Season 3 Battle Pass.

To get access to her and the Battle Pass for Chapter 3, Season 3, it’ll cost you $11.99 USD.

Phaedra looks to be Fortnite’s version of Wednesday Addams

The unique pet, the odd gothic umbrella, the witch hat, the pale skin, the dark hair, and the general vibe have me thinking this is Fortnite’s version of Wednesday Addams, and for good reason. She’s the staple of gothic horror chick chic.

The name Phaedra comes from an old Greek tale. She was the daughter of Minos and Pasiphae and the wife of Theseus but she fell for her stepson Hippolytus, and after rejecting her, she set to ruin his life.

So clearly this dark character may not be the emo dream girl that some players think she is. That won’t stop many from purchasing the new outfit, and who can blame them?
