The Fortnite Playstation Cup is coming.

Fans who were hoping for some action on PlayStation will get their wish come May 26. For three days, ranging from May 26 through May 28, Fortnite and PlayStation will provide players with an exclusive tournament to compete for a share of $116,750. This will be a Battle Royale cup, with building enabled, bucking the recent trend of Zero Build tournaments.

This isn’t a one-player competition, however, as this PlayStation Cup will be a duos competition. Round 1 will feature an open competition, giving players 3 hours to compete in a maximum of 10 matches to earn as many points as possible. The top 500 duos in each region advance to Round 2. Then the Top 50 duos from each region move on to Round 3.

Round 3 shakes up the formula some, with six total matches. Each of the top-performing players in Round 3 will earn their region’s prize.

That’s not all though, as if you compete in the first round and earn at least eight points, you’ll earn a new in-game paint spray called “The Greatest”.

How do the points for Round 1 and Round 2 break down in the PlayStation Cup?

It’s not going to be easy to advance so you’re going to want to figure out the best way to maximize your point totals. So if you’re playing with a partner, you’re going to want to be aware of the point-scoring. The Top 25 teams all take a share of the points home. With 25th place earning one point, and the winner of the match receiving 25 points.
