Fortnite helped Fall Guys come to the world of Free to Play
Fortnite is the king of free-to-play gaming. In a world where microtransactions support a video game for years past their original launch date, there’s no need to charge players access to a game. If the game is popular enough it’ll create opportunities to make money. Fans seem ok by this, it’s only games like Madeen, which require you to pay $60 upfront and then loads of microtransactions after, that really upset fans. So it’s no wonder that another Epic-owned game, Fall Guys is going free to play.
The announcement of Fall Guys going free-to-play came via Fortnite, which used a special in-game theater to help their Epic relatives out.
This isn’t surprising, as not only has free-to-play been rumored for some time now, but there have been talks of a long-rumored crossover between the two brands finally coming to fruition on the battlefields of Fortnite.
Fall Guys is going free-to-play on June 21st! It's also coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and the Epic Games Store.

Epic Games is bringing Fall Guys to all platforms
Fall Guys will be going free-to-play soon and will be on Xbox, PlayStation, the Nintendo Switch, and the Epic Games PC store soon. In five weeks’ time, the game will be cross-platform and cross-progression enabled, meaning that if you’re on a Switch, you could be battling someone on a PC, and if you started your gaming on a PlayStation, you can switch to the Xbox and continue your gaming without losing a single thing.
That’s not all. When Fall Guys become free-to-play, Fortnite fans will finally get what they long-wanted, a collaboration with their Epic Games cousin. There are rumors of a Blunder bundle, which will feature several Fall Guys-related items for Fortnite fans to purchase and use in-game. This is part of a long-rumored crossover that is years in the making.
Though that hasn’t been announced officially just yet.
