Gears of War is a weird choice to bring into Fortnite

Gears of War isn’t exactly the first franchise you think of as being in Fortnite.

Fortnite caters to a lot of fandoms, from Marvel to Halo, to so many other things. Yet, it’s never really catered to the more extreme fanbases. They have never done a crossover with any horror franchise that I know and they usually cater to more family-friendly, mainstream crossovers. So seeing a game as violent and blood-soaked as Gears of Wars come to Fortnite is a bit surprising.

The characters of Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz are the stars of Gears of War 4, a game that came out in 2016 after the series was thought to be over. They were re-added to the game store around the same time Halo was brought back, which featured series star, Master Chief.

Both franchises are known for their themes of war, but Halo was far more toned down compared to Gears of War, which featured the ability to chainsaw your way through alien enemies. Yet, it’s back in the store and you can now play as the protagonists of the franchise.

What would it cost to get Gears of War characters Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz in Fortnite?

The characters have a couple of bundles you can purchase. There’s the duel character bundle which features both Marcus Fenix and Kait Diaz, and some minor accessories for 2,000 V-Bucks. There’s the gear bundle which you can purchase for 1,600 V-Bucks, so if you wanted the gear but not the characters there’s that route.

You can also just purchase Marcus Fenix for 1,500 V-Bucks, and Kate Diaz for the same price.  The entire list of items and bundles is below;
