Fans of Fortnite will want to check out the Ch 3, S2 Fortnite Champion Series.

The upcoming Fortnite Champion Series is upon us and fans should get ready for a chance to win some massive prize money. the event will start with qualifying events starting on May 2. The top five teams from each qualifier will advance to the FNCS Finals. That means that five teams will gain access across the three qualifying options.

Each qualifier is going to be four rounds, with the fourth round having a set lobby competing to qualify.

The semi-finals start on May 20 and run through the 22nd. It’s not just about getting a win here, you have to amass wins and play very well in the process. That’s the only way through to the finals. The six “most consistent” teams will advance.

This will be broken up into three sessions, details of which can be found over at Fortnite News.

The Finals will happen on May 28 and May 29, and there are two ways to win the FNCS Championship.

The first is to achieve the match point. To do so, a duo team will have to finish the competition early with 475 total points, and three victories in battle royale competitions (aka Victory Royales).

The second way to win is to earn the most points of any of the teams after all 12 matches have been played. Should no one achieve the “match point” by the last match, the team with the most points will be crowned champion.

The Fortnite Championship Series is paying out some big bucks

The money that a team wins will be life-changing regardless of where you’re competing. The competitions are arranged in seven regions and I would have to imagine the region with the most players has the most money to win. That’s the only way I could understand how they’re dolling out the cash.

"Prize Pool per RegionEU – $1,362,500NAE – $637,500BR – $418,000NAW – $239,500ASIA – $145,000ME – $114,000OCE – $92,000"

For those who aren’t sure of the regions, here’s how they break down. The EU is the European Union, which basically covers Europe. NAE is the eastern portion of North America. So think Toronto down to Cancun, and the NAW is the western portion, which is Vancouver through La Paz.

ASIA is the continental region of Asia, your China’s, India’s, and the like. The ME is the Middle East and OCE is Oceania. That’s Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Polynesia, and probably Hawaii.
