Epic Games finally rolls out Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 XP fix

This Season had a rough start when it came to Quests. Chapter 2 Season 8 is all about them, with tons of punchcards to complete and daily quests that reward you for completing them. There was one key issue: there wasn’t enough XP given out. Epic Games promised a fix, and they’ve delivered. Here’s everything you need to know about the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 XP fix.

Epic Games finally rolls out Chapter 2 Season 8 XP fix

Epic has made some questionable decisions regarding XP recently. They reduced XP gained in Creative and in Impostors. Team Rumble was changed to make it more difficult to complete certain Quests.  Punchcard quests yielded low XP at the start of the season. So what did Epic do to fix XP?

They just gave us more. A lot more. XP yield from Battle Royale have been increased across the board.

According to Epic Games, XP from Daily punchcards have been increased. Shared Quests also give XP in addition to Bars. The new character punchcards and the ones coming in the future have their XP yields increased.

There was one decrease, with weekly punchcards being reduced. Epic says this is to lessen the setback of not completing them, but I don’t buy it. More opportunity is better, but at the very least this doesn’t force you to play games with friends.

The biggest change comes with earning XP from Shared Quests. These are the Quests that NPCs give you. They don’t give much, but the important part is that they’re repeatable.

XP Coins used to be a great way to get those key final Battle Pass levels, but those have been absent recently. The last few seasons had some generous ways to get XP by the Quest system, but if you missed the weekly Legendary Quests it was easy to fall behind.

With these repeatable shared Quests granting at least some XP, it’s completely possible to grind out all the Battle Pass levels. It might not be fun, but you’ll never be locked out of completing the Battle Pass. I wish there was more XP given per Quest, but given that some lines are extremely easy to complete I appreciate the option.
