Fortnite: How to mark an Alien Egg as fast as possible

You’ll need to know how to mark an Alien Egg for the second phase of this week’s Legendary Quest for Bushranger in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. Here’s everything you need to know to complete this quest, from where to find them and how to actually mark an Alien Egg in Fortnite.

Fortnite: How to mark an Alien Egg

After you’ve constructed the wooden hatchery, you’ll be tasked with marking an Alien Egg. It’s simple enough: find an Alien Egg and mark it like you would an item.

Left on the D-Pad is the default mapping for marking on controller. For mouse and keyboard, the middle mouse click (scroll wheel) is the default mapping. The tricky part is finding an Alien Egg to mark in the first place.

Head south-east of Boney Burbs, where the three rivers meet. On the lower sector, you can find Zyg and Choppy tending to some Eggs. Land here right when the match starts and you’ll be able to complete the quest quickly.

Take care to not approach the Eggs too closely, unless you want a a big hug on your face from an alien parasite. If you get a parasite on you, it’ll take 40% of your health as food. In exchange, you’ll get increased mobility. A chest may spawn here as well, so be sure to look for it.

After marking an Egg, you’ll walk away with a cool 30,000 XP.

Don’t worry about Zyg and Choppy becoming hostile. They’re busy taking care of the eggs, and won’t attack you unless provoked. If you do find yourself facing off against them, watch out for their Mythic Ray Gun. It has an immense 180 DPS, but falls off shortly. Keep your distance if you’re trying to take them down.

If you do manage to defeat Zyg and Choppy, you’ll be able to grab their Ray Gun for yourself.
