As an homage to the Fortnite Season 10 map, @SquatingDog and his friends jumped into a private match to destroy each and every item possible on the map. Not only did they succeed with their mission, but they also made a great montage video of the amazing accomplishment.

As we all know by now, Season 10 of Fortnite Battle Royale is almost over. There has been much speculation that Season 11 will bring fans of the game a brand new map, and this idea has all of Fortnite Nation excited all over again. Season 10 will be ending this Sunday, October 13 at 2 PM EDT with a live event and rocket launch, according to Epic Games.

One popular Twitch streamer decided to take matters into his own hands, and he and his friends paid tribute to the current map by destroying each and every destroyable item. That includes every rock, every tree, every building, every bench, every stack of wood…EVERYTHING! I had the opportunity to speak with @theSquatingDog about his awesome accomplishment and to gather all of the juicy, behind the scenes details about the event.

According to @theSquatingDog, the entire event took about three hours in total, which included time to strategize, destroy, and stream the event online. This project included about 30 people that helped with all the destruction, and the group worked in shifts to give participants a break from all the hard work.

Their plan of attack was quite brilliant. First, they had to take care of some trolls early on that were set on making a name for themselves. Those distractions were quickly removed from the match. Once that was settled, on to destruction of the Season 10 Fortnite map.

The team split up to the major POIs like Lucky Landing, Greasy Grove, or Sunny Steps. @theSquatingDog shared, “We went square by square on the map making sure everything, I mean everything was completely destroyed”.

@theSquatingDog revealed there was another important component in the mix that provided some ingenious tricks along the way to make things run more smoothly. MaferWorld, a creative community member, designed a way to allow the participants to use boomboxes and Infinity Blades to wreak havoc and destruction across the map.

More from Forever Fortnite

This wasn’t the first time @theSquatingDog had attempted to destroy a Fortnite map. In past attempts, the team had issues finishing the great feat in a reasonable amount of time. He and his team tried to destroy the map with planes, but smaller items were too hard to destroy. They also attempted the total destruction using only Infinity Blades, but they didn’t provide enough precision for areas like Trog’s Cave and the Villain’s Liar.

When all was said and done, this attempt was a grand success. When asked what @theSquatingDog hopes to see in the Season 11 map, he replied “Water!, I would love swimming, jet skis, and full fledge water engagement.” After today’s leaks, he just may be getting his wish come true for a water-centered map. More on that to come shortly.

@theSquatingDog shared his thoughts on the game and the new season:

"I would love to see more positive criticism this upcoming season so we can shape this game in one that we can all enjoy. I really love Fortnite when we are all adding healthy engagement with our community. What I love most about Fortnite is the game is founded on new ways to play. Every time I log in there are new items, POIs, and weapons to work with. As a creative person, I really enjoy thinking outside the box with my twitch channel. As the skill gap has grown significantly over the past year, many people have forgotten that you can play this game just to mess around and have fun. As an influencer and streamer, I am always looking for ways to provide entertainment, creative means for building community, and cultivating opportunities to participate in things like ‘Destroying the Whole Season 10 map’. This is part of my communities’ DNA as we seek to play this competitive game, this creative game, and most importantly a game that is designed to be fun."

Those were some brilliant words spoken by this Fortnite enthusiast. Often times we are so focused overly focused on nothing but obtaining that Victory Royale, that we forget the true purpose of the game which is to have fun. That fun comes in all forms, shapes and sizes in Fortnite. In my opinion, the best part of the game is the Fortnite community. @theSquatingDog and friends showed us today what “fun” is all about in the game of Fortnite. Congrats on a job well done!
