Fortnite has brought in two new vehicles for Chapter 4, Season 2 but how are they?

Fortnite’s new season, dubbed MEGA, is built around the addition of Japanese culture, both historic, modern, and futuristic into the game’s meta. Several new location shave been added to the southeastern part of the map, including traditional Japanese buildings, as well as a city dubbed Neo Tokyo.

The addition of the region comes with it some unique items, like a samurai sword called the Kinetic Blade, as well as a Battle Pass built around Japanese designs, and iconic manga/anime characters. Not only that but there are allusions to other aspects of Japanese media, like the trailer hinting at the anime film Akira.

So it shouldn’t surprise anyone that with the arrival of all of this, that the game brought in two new vehicles for fans to use. A motorcycle dubbed the Victory Corwn Rogue, aka the Rogue Bike, and a car called the Nitro Drifter.

The Rogue Bike looks like it’s straight out of Tron, while the Nitro Drifter is a futuristic take on the drifting cars that Japan was famous for in the early 2000s.

How are the new vehicles in Fortnite?

Fortnite’s new vehicles, for lack of a better term, suck. The Nitro Drifter is the better of the two vehicles, with it being usable on any road. The drift function is also a lot of fun to use, but the Rogue Bike is a poor replacement for the dirt bikes that the game only just introduced.

In fact, neither vehicle really is all that it’s cracked up to be, thanks in part to the removal of Chonker’s Tires from the game. With there being very few roads actually in the game, and the roads the map does have not being interconnected, there’s no way to get the most out of these vehicles, as they’re eventually going to have to go on grass and when you take them on grass, they lose any advantage they might have had.

It may actually be better for you to ditch them if you have to go into a grassy or snowy area, as you’ll have more control over your maneuverability then.
