4 Final Fantasy VII characters we want to see in Fortnite
By Chad Porto
Fortnite may do a crossover with Final Fantasy VII and if so, here are our four picks.
We have no inside information pertaining to what may or may not be coming to Fortnite in Chapter 4 as far as crossovers are concerned. We’re only existing in a realm of online, inter-driven rumors. So that’s all we can go on for this article. Final Fantasy VII has been rumored to be on its way to Fortnite and if they do, then we’ll be excited.
That’s a big if, however.
Unlike the anime crossovers of the past, when video game characters get added as part of a crossover, we usually only get two at a time. See Street Fighter and Resident Evil as examples. But for this article, we’re doing more than just listing two ideas, we’re going with four. Now, we’re not doing deep cuts here, but we’ll explain why these four make the most sense for a potential “first wave” of outfit releases.
Four Final Fantasy VII characters to expect if a crossover occurs
Cloud Strife
Of course, Cloud Strife is going to be featured on this list, he’s the literal main character of this version of the Final Fantasy franchise. Arguably the most popular or well-known character Square Enix has ever created, not including Cloud would be a big mistake.
Barret Wallace
I waffled between adding Barret or Sephiroth, but I opted for Barret as Franchise usually leans towards the heroes first in established crossovers. Barret would be a great costume, especially if the developers at Fortnite could make his gun-hand customizable depending on which weapon he’s got equipped.
Tifa Lockhart
Tifa Lockhart is one of the major characters from the Final Fantasy VII franchise and is Cloud’s chief love interest, once the remnants of Zach Fair are purged from Cloud’s psyche. Having her is a no-brainer.
Aerith Gainsborough
While many think Aerith and Cloud are the true romantic pairing, that’s simply not true. Still, the reason for that is because fans like Aerith more, and since she’s so popular, you can’t not include her in a crossover event.
