Fortnite vaulted a bunch of weapons we’re glad to see gone.
Fortnite has done a lot of house cleaning with the weapons for Chapter 4. The game has not only given us a whole new weapons locker to mess around with but a lot of the weapons are brand new. Things we never got in prior seasons.
That’s been great but it al meant that with new weapons coming in, some had to leave. That’s not always a bad thing, as some weapons are just destined to be awful and need to be vaulted away forever.
There are some weapons that need that treatment currently, but we’ll get to that in a separate article. So with that said, let’s take a look at the weapons we’re glad no longer exist in the game.
What weapons are we glad got vaulted?
EvoChrome Burst Rifle
The burst rifle was slow and never seemed to be that effective unless you were fighting someone who had a Legendary or Mythic version, and then it was a nightmare to deal with. The imbalance was horrific.
The shotgun version of the EvoChrome started off very weak and actually wasn’t very effective. A tweak made it more effective but due to its widespread, it was utterly useless in close-range combat with other shotguns.
Hunter Bolt-Action Sniper
The Heavy Sniper was supposed to be the one-shot-elimination sniper rifle but it was severely nerfed for no reason. Then the Hunter Bolt-Action sniper, a weaker sniper by design, ended up getting the one-hitter-quitter and became just as powerful as the heavy sniper. It made no sense.
Lever Action Shotgun
The Lever Action Shotgun wasn’t bad compared to the rest of the guns but it was easily the most annoying shotgun to use, only due to the silly animation that took up too much time as you twirl the gun around after each shot. The lever action actually is supposed to make this shotgun among the fastest weapons in the game, and yet Fortnite found a way to make it slow.
Too slow, and lacked much impact to be any real option besides the only option. If i was the only gun you could get, great, but otherwise, dump it and run.
