Fortnite brought in some heavy franchises for Chapter 3.

Fortnite did a great job this year in a lot of ways, even if some of the events were lacking. One of the things that they did nail was the franchise crossovers. Fortnite and franchise crossovers go hand in hand, with many of the biggest franchises wanting to be part of the game.

It wasn’t always this way, however. Fortnite was just a random game, that made you build towers to fight zombies. That game is long gone and in its place is a brand-new version. Well, brand new a few years ago. Since the game transitioned from castle defense to battle royale in 2017, the game found a new identity.

That new identity now looks to be as current, relevant, and cool as possible and that means crossovers. Not every crossover caters to every fan but they all serve a purpose and these are our three picks for the biggest crossovers for Chapter 3.

Three franchise crossovers for Fortnite in Chapter 3

Dragon Ball

Getting Dragon Ball this summer was awesome. While we would’ve liked better characters than Bulma or Beerus, getting Vegeta, Goku, the Nimbus cloud rideable, and the Kamehameha blast (weapon) were awesome. Preferably, maybe characters like Nappa, or Android 18 would’ve been better fits but we’re still happy we got them.

Star Wars

Sure, the Star Wars crossovers have overstayed their welcome but in one chapter we got Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa, and lightsabers. So many lightsabers. If I never see another lightsaber it’ll be too soon but hey, it was a smash hit.

Rocket League

Rocket League’s involvement with Fortnite was not expected, at least not in the way we got it. No, instead we got the actual Octane car in Fortnite’s Battle Royale. While its not a great car for the mode, its still wild to use.
