Rumor: Dragon Ball Z will bring four characters to Fortnite this summer

Anime fans will be happy to see Dragon Ball Z coming to Fortnite soon.

When Naruto landed in Fortnite last year, it got fans excited about what else could be coming. Naruto is a huge franchise in the world of anime and manga, but arguably no franchise has done more for those mediums than the Dragon Ball franchise. Now it looks like the most popular iteration of the franchise, Dragon Ball Z, could soon be heading to Fortnite.

Fans have uncovered a device that looks like a capsule from the franchise’s Capsule Corp entity. We were unsure what it could be or what it could mean for the franchise, but now it seems like it could be back bling as part of a Dragon Ball Z set of costumes.

According to Twitter user, ShiinaBR, a set of Dragon Ball attires will be on their way to the game at the end of August, as part of a crossover between the Japanese franchise and the American video game company.

Fans may think Dragon Ball Z is coming but it may be Dragon Ball Super characters

The expected set will include four Dragon Ball characters that players can purchase, and the entire event will be celebrated like Naruto, with the Battle Bus getting a brand new look as well. All of this is expected near the end of the month, which will be about the time the new movie, Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes debuts.

Due to the timing of the new film in the franchise, it’s possible, but not likely, that the character designs will be based on the newest film iteration of the characters and not the classic design fans have long known from their time watching Dragon Ball Z on Cartoon Network.

If that’s the case, and the Super designs are used, I don’t think fans will be too bothered but you never know these days.
