Rumor: A Fortnite and Dragon Ball collaboration is apparently coming soon

Dragon Ball may finally be coming to Fortnite!

Dragon Ball may finally be arriving in Fortnite this year, but not in the form that you thought. While fans have for years wanted a Goku, Piccolo, or Vegeta outfit, it doesn’t seem like that’s coming this season. No, according to one leaker, it’s not a costume that’s coming at all.

The crossover seems to center around an item bearing the Capsule Corp logo. This makes it seem like the item may be along the way of a Port-A-Fort, a structure that pops up from a small capsule. It may also be a portable treasure chest of sorts, with the user throwing it and items popping out instead of a structure.

Think of it as a loot box without having to pay for anything.

The rumor was leaked out by Hypex, a well-known data miner in the community, and while there are no new details on the crossover, there is a timeline from which we can expect to see some headway made on the topic.

A new Dragon Ball movie may be when the crossover with Fortnite happens

There’s a new Dragon Ball moving coming out this summer. It’s called Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and it’ll be released on August 19. Despite being around for over 30 years, the Dragon Ball franchise is still updating and rebooting itself as it continues and this new movie is a sign that the franchise is trying to broaden its reach to newer fans.

If Dragon Ball really wants to broaden its appeal and stretch into new markets, then placing the superhero Dragon Ball characters into the world of Fortnite is the way to go. They’ve really done a great job highlighting and promoting new trends in pop culture, so one would think they’d be able to help Dragon Ball spread their new brand.
