Fortnite partnered up with Among Us opening up the door to more potential “impossible” crossovers.

It’s no secret that Fortnite is all about that crossover goodness. Be it with games, music, movies, television, or whatever. Fortnite wants to bring everything they can into their tiny little island. It makes for some strange bedfellows but since they’re all about those V-Bucks, they’re looking to get whoever they can in.

That said, they don’t always make nice with others. One group, Innersloth, was unhappy with Fortnite and the way they decided to create their own version of Innersloth’s Among Us. The Fortnite version of Among Us is called Imposters and it did not sit well with Innersloth.

The two sides made nice and launched a partnership that will see Among Us characters as back bling into the franchise, resolving the issues between the two brands. So if those two can make good, what other franchises could find their way into Epic’s game that were once considered impossible?

Three “impossible” franchises we hope Fortnite works with soon

Final Fantasy VII

Despite there being dozens of Final Fantasy games, and 15 main-line entries, VII continues to be the standard-bearer. With the remake’s second arc coming out in 2023, there’s more reason than ever to hope for a crossover finally. Cloud, Tifa, Barrett, and Sepiroth make all the sense in the world, plus, could you imagine Chocobo’s running around the island?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

With Fortnite working on a first-person shooter mode, the idea of bringing in another reestablished franchise in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare makes sense. Specifically Captain John Price and Ghost. While it’s unlikely, it would be cool to see them. Especially since Halo and Gears of War are now in the game.

Mario

This one has almost happened a few times, according to rumors but Nintendo has always shot it down for one reason or another. Here’s hoping that he finally gets his shot.
