Fortnite has released two new trailers ahead of Chapter 3, Season 3: Vibin

Fortnite has officially launched Chapter 3, Season 3 with a new set of trailers. The season brings an end to the war-themed event of Chapter 3, Season 2, and has apparently gone in a different direction altogether, one more about partying and celebrating.

The new season dropped two trailers to help celebrate the new season, nicknamed “Vibin”, and both trailers focus nearly exclusively on the “fun” that can be had during the season. Unlike past seasons, there’s next to no combat highlighted and the general idea is that Fortnite is going to be spending the summer months “Vibin”.

The gameplay trailer highlights a few neat things, like players being able to ride animals now. In the trailer, you see three players riding wolves. It also highlights the Reality Tree, something Tabor Hill hinted at, while also showing newly updated areas. Fans are also treated to the Grapple Glove, the non-Marvel, off-brand, web shooter from past seasons.

Plus, of course, you get to see Darth Vader in action, which is what everyone is looking forward to this season.

What’s going on with the second Fortnite trailer?

Unlike the first trailer, the second trailer is a cinematic one, showing fans what they can expect the season to be thematically speaking. Firstly, Darth Vader isn’t a fan of Peely. I’ve come around on the banana in recent weeks, and if I can enjoy the festive fruit fighter, then anyone can. The fact that Darth Vader can’t only further shows just how far Anakin Skywalker has fallen into the Dark Side.

The island is in a perpetual state of celebration over the defeat of the Imaged Order, thanks to the efforts of the Collision event.

The trailer isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, as a new villain is shown at the end of the trailer. It could be Geno, as we saw a glimpse of him at the end of Chapter 3, Season 2, but right now that’s anyone’s guess.
