Fortnite using creators to help tease upcoming events is genius

Fortnite is teasing the upcoming live event by using creators and it’s a genius move.
Fortnite is doing everything they can to really sell the Chapter 3, Season 2 live event; Collision. The event promises fans the return of Mecha Team Leader, now being worked on, upgraded, and painted in the lobby of any Fortnite match. The return of the teddy bear mech is nearly upon us but Fortnite is doing more than just hyping up the robot, they’re going out of their way to use creators to help hype the season finale.
Fortnite is sending the game’s biggest content creators and streamers teasers for the upcoming live event. Ali-A got the first teaser, followed by three more creators, and when they’re all combined you get the outline of what looks like a brand new character possibly coming to the island.
Each creator is getting a piece and it’s building up the picture. It very well could be the new Mecha Team Leader design and the whole thing may be done by June 4, when the live event happens.
Fortnite using content creators to build intrigue is genius
Using YouTubers, Twitch streamers, and others in the Fortnite game sphere is brilliant for building hype for your brand. The developers sending out these minor images to various creators, with the idea that they all have to combine their pieces to get the full image of what’s being teased is brilliant.
Sure, you have to pay attention to the biggest names, and that sure isn’t the best thing ever, especially when you consider that the market is already hard to break into. Yet, if you’re a fan, you gotta love the creativity here. Even though it’s nothing but an image, I’m hyped to see how this all plays out.
Personally, I think it’s going to be a new loading screen image, so it’s not like it’s something truly amazing but still, this is a brilliant idea to distribute information to content creators because it creates buzz, hypes the content creator and unites the two sides into an unstoppable machine.
