Fortnite will see fans return for the upcoming FNCS Invitational this year.

Fortnite is a massively popular gaming franchise and that means that fans are always eager to check out what’s going on with the franchise. From updates to content creators and tournaments, Fortnite fans are pretty loyal.

Tournaments are a big part of the game’s brand, and they often have a new one to hop into on a nearly daily basis. Yet, those are largely for anyone, but the Fortnite Championship Series is one of the biggest of the year. The event is set for Nov 12 and 13 in Raleigh, North Carolina and it’s going to feature something different for this year.

For the first time since the pandemic, the FNCS will feature the return of in-person fans for the competition. So players are going to have to be ready for some wild fun.

Here’s a portion of the press release, courtesy of Fortnite News;

"We are excited to announce our plan to host the FNCS Invitational 2022 in-person on November 12 and 13 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Please note that our players’ health and safety are the number one priority for holding any in-person event. If public health trends change, or regional laws or recommendations shift at any point this year, we may have to reschedule or change these plans."

What will fans be witnessing at the FNCS this year?

This year’s tournament will see the top duos from around the world compete in a single lobby for a share of $1 million USD. This is a huge tournament for gamers, and Fortnite wants as many loud, screaming fans there as possible. They just want you to be safe and prepared.

Epic Games, Fortnite’s parent company, is reminding fans and players to make sure their travel documentation has been secured ahead of time, which includes, but isn’t limited to passports, visas, and if needed, vaccination cards.
