The return of the light machine gun in Fortnite is amazing but problematic

The light machine gun in Fortnite is a lot of fun but it can get out of hand for two different reasons.

The light machine gun has made its way back to Fortnite and folks, it’s amazing. As someone who never got to play with it until recently, I can tell you that it’s become among my favorite weapons in the game.

It’s got a huge clip, so if you’re frequently running out of bullets at the worst possible time, the weapon doesn’t have that issue. There is a bottom to the clip, obviously but if you can’t hit one guy enough times to eliminate them before you run out of bullets with this gun, then you know, get good.

It’s not a hard weapon to use but it’s not an easy one to master that’s for sure. It has its issues, however.

The two biggest issues with the light machine gun

The first issue is the never-ending clip. It’s great if you’re using it to eliminate people, but it’s terrible if you’re the one taking shots. So it certainly is a double-edged sword in that regard. You don’t want to get caught on the other side of one of those light machine guns.

As for the gun itself, it’s hard to control once you’re shooting.  It’s not a great weapon to use if you’re a rookie or newer player. It’s not very accurate and if you’re attempting to re-adjust your sight as you’re firing, the rate of fire will absolutely disrupt your aim.

So unless you’re aimed up right where you want to be right away, you’re going to have to get used to strafing. So if you aren’t good at strafing, you’re going to be in for a bad time. I urge everyone to try it at least once, because it may become a weapon worth keeping around for yourself.
