New Fortnite rumors hint at an upcoming Doomsday Machine
By Chad Porto
Fortnite loves its Doomsday scenarios and a new Doomsday Machine is coming to Fortnite.
Fortnite is hinting at another Doomsday Machine coming to the Fortnite island, thanks to those dastardly do-no-gooders in the Imagined Order. The group is always trying to destroy all existence, and we’re not entirely sure why, but once again that seems to be the case for Season 3, Chapter 2.
In some leaked information, Fortnite appears to be ramping up to a new doomsday scenario. The Seven and its recruits will eventually take back all the territories that were in dispute, with the last bastion of the Imagined Order being their base in the mountains and Loot Lake, suspected home of the Zero Point.
Yet, we’re not sure what the end game is for the Imagined Order. There is a huge vault door in the caves under the mountain that seemingly hints at some large creature. That seems to be the most likely scenario but what could it be?
Leaked dialogue suggests that whatever is coming is something new
Fortnite News posted a transcript of leaked Agent Jones dialogue that seemingly hints at something brand new and never seen before, possibly putting to bed the discussion of past creatures or machines coming back into the fold.
"“This will not come as a surprise, but IO management loves Doomsday machines – loves them! There’s even a doomsday division at HQ, oh man their softball team is awful but they will one day destroy us all so… kind of a wash. We have very credible intel that one of the IO’s Doomsday devices is now in production. We need to find out everything we can while we still can. Hit the field, I’ll prep the cameras . . . I have a very bad feeling that we are not ready for what we’re gonna find out.”– Agent Jones, Week 6 voice lines"
If Fortnite is going in that direction, adding a new season-ending event with a brand new creature, then that may be worth checking out. Usually, the in-game events aren’t worth checking out live and you’re just as well off checking them out on YouTube without having to wait.
That said, if they do something different like add a creature that actually stalks the players, who is also massive, that would be a lot of fun. You know, until it eats you.
