Fortnite is dropping some new comics with Marvel, starting with Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War.

Fortnite is always looking to do new things and one of the things fans can expect from Fortnite is its ability to cultivate corporate partnerships. While it won’t be the first time Fortnite has done a comic and partnered up with a comic brand (previously working with DC Comics), Fortnite now has a comic coming out with Marvel Comics.

The new comic is called Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War and will be a limited series released in June. The books will be written by Christos Gage, and Donald Mustard, and will be illustrated by Sergio Davila.

The book will also release alongside several variants. There will be 10 covers altogether, the list of which can be seen before;

"Captain America (Sam Wilson) and OmegaCaptain Carter and Cuddle Team LeaderCaptain Marvel and Dark BomberGhost Rider and RaiderIron Fist and FadeHellcat and LynxJoe Fixit and RippleySilk and BlazeSpider-Man 2099 and DrifterVenom and Big Mouth"

Fortnite fans should keep an eye on the new books but shouldn’t try to get every variant

Zero Point was the 2021 DC Comic crossover with Fortnite, and it featured The Foundation crossing paths with Batman. The comic is considered canon by many and helped explain where The Foundation went during a time in the game.

If that miniseries was an idea of what to expect from Fortnite’s comic crossovers, then the Marvel comic will surely explain some minor backstory lore but it won’t be a huge piece of media that you need to sink your teeth into.

My recommendation is to pick up your favorite variant cover of the first issue and see if it’s something you want to continue investing in. Don’t drop $50+ dollars on the same comic with different covers. They’re just not worth it and will likely never see you recoup that expense in the event you think these books will appreciate in value over the years.

They won’t.
