A major Marvel Cinematic Universe character is coming to Fortnite

Marvel fans get ready, Doctor Strange is coming to Fortnite

Fortnite continues its ability to bring in massive out-of-universe stars into its gaming world with the debut of Doctor Strange. The new character is based on Benedict Cumberbatch’s upcoming role in the new film, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

The character is rumored to be featured in the Season 2 Battle Pass as the “secret outfit”. This is an outfit that gets unlocked halfway through the season to help keep promoting the Battle Pass. The Rock’s appearance as The Foundation was Chapter 3, Season 1’s secret outfit, and in past seasons it included characters like Marvel’s Wolverine, Deadpool, DC Comics’ Aquaman, and soccer star Neymar (Neymar da Silva Santos Jr.)

With the film set to come out in May (May 6), it makes sense that Strange would be the character, as we’re about two months out of the film’s release, which should coincide with the secret outfit reveal. Fortnite News also believes that the character of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) will be included as well, as Fortnite usually brings in a male and female character from each new franchise.

Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2 begins tomorrow

There have been a lot of rumors about Chapter 3, Season 2, and with no new teaser trailers, we’re left wondering what the season will bring. We do know that the new season begins on March 20, 2022.

The new season will likely continue the escalation of the sinkholes on the Fortnite island, as well as the battle with The Seven and the Imagined Order. Not only that but there are rumors that Tilted Towers may meet its untimely end in the new season, a similar fate that befell it when it previously appeared in the game.

The new season is steeped in mystery but fans will be able to see what changes are made come Sunday.
