It’s a classic trope in stealth games, and now you can get some XP for hiding in tall grass in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. It’s not difficult, but tracking down some grass to hide in can be tough if you don’t know where to find tall grass.  Here’s how to complete the Hide in Tall Grass Fortnite quest.

Fortnite: How to hide in Tall Grass

One of the quests for Week 4 is to hide in tall grass for 10 seconds. The best place to find tall grass is in the tropical biome on the eastern side of the island. The best places to find tall grass are the hills between The Daily Bugle and Sanctuary, though you may find some more by exploring the islands.

Enter the tall grass and stand in the center of the patch for 10 seconds. That’s it. That’s all you need to do. You’ll walk away some XP richer for just watching grass grow. Thankfully, this isn’t one of those shoehorned stealth challenges where you have to be near an enemy. You also don’t need to press a button to interact with it; you just need to be deep enough in cover.

Hiding in grass can be a great strategy, as it’s basically the same as bush camping. Some may call it dirty, but you’ll be walking away with the win. Bonus stealth points if you’re a default skin or Bushranger.

It’s also a great way to disengage, or to let other enemies duke it out before you pick off the survivors if you come across a fight. Stealth may not be as powerful a skill as building, but in the right situations it’s indispensable especially now that shakedowns have been nerfed.

Likewise, keep an eye out for other enemies hiding in the grass or bushes, especially now that this Quest has given every player the same idea.
