You’ll need to destroy a fireplace in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 to start Ember’s Punchcard Quest line. Here’s how to destroy a fireplace and the best way to do it.

Fortnite: How to destroy a fireplace

Ember is a new NPC introduced in v18.30, and the name of her game is fire. The first part of her Punchcard has you destroy a fireplace in some specific locations.

The fireplaces you’re looking for are actual fireplaces you’ll find in a home. Don’t confuse them with campfires, as you can’t even destroy those anyway.

For the Quest, you need to destroy just one fireplace. When you’ve found one, simply take out your harvesting tool and go to town.

Speaking of going to towns, fireplaces can be found inside houses in residential areas, but you have to destroy one in Holly Hedges, Pleasant, and Lazy Lake or Craggy Cliffs. Just one of them will do, so you won’t be searching long.

Once you’ve destroyed four of these, you’ll get a cool 30,000 XP for your troubles.

While you’re already here, consider completing the rest of Ember’s quests. You need to set 10 structures on fire for the next Quest; easy to do when you’re burning up the building you found the fireplace in.

After that, you have to emote within 5 meters of a smoking vehicle. Once a vehicle takes enough damage, it’ll start smoking before it blows up. Luckily, there are lots of vehicles to be found in the four locations the fireplaces are in.

If you do a little preparation, you can easily round out the first three Ember Quests in a short time. This is one of the easier Quest lines to complete the three of, which is significant if you have the Daily Quest where you must complete three quests of an NPC’s Punchcard.
