Where to find Wolves in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8
By Andrew Lin
Looking for Wolves in Fortnite? Wildlife was a new feature back in Chapter 2 Season 6, and they’ve been with the game since. This season’s not focusing on the fauna of the island, but some Quests still need you to interact with them. Most notably, you’ll have to seek them out for Grim Fable’s Quest line. Here’s where to find Wolves in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8.
Where to find Wolves in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8
Wolves spawn around the mountainous and forested areas on the island, much like they were found in previous seasons. The spots where they tend to appear are around Boney Burbs, Weeping Woods and Catty Corner. I’ve encountered them on the roads leading out of these locations as well.
I’ve also consistently run into wolves north of the lake by Misty Meadows. They’ll appear near the logging site along the mountain. Be sure to bring some fast firing weapons, as they’ll attack you quickly. Wolves aren’t too difficult to hit, but they will bite off a chunk of your health if you let them get too close.
Wolves will come in packs of three, so you’ll more than likely have to defeat all three of them. After you hunt one of them for the Quest, the others will come to attack you.
Luckily, they drop meat when hunted. This causes the other wolves to go eat the meat, making them vulnerable.
You can also use this opportunity to tame a wolf, who will follow you around and alert you to enemies. It even attacks them for you.
The next Quest in Grim Fable’s line has you emote within 10 meters of wildlife, so if you want to complete the line quickly you could get up close to a wolf and start dancing. The distance is closer than you’d think. Mark a wolf to see the distance. Alternatively, you can spam your emotes as the wolves go to attack you to complete the quest. You’ll probably get game ended, though.
