Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 is ramping up, and we’ve got quite the diverse weapon and loot pool. With so many weapons, which ones should you keep? Which ones should you leave on the ground? Our weapon tier list for September 2021 will help you get the loot you need to score that #1.

Forever Fortnite Weapon Tier List Chapter 2 Season 8

S-Tier

  • Suppressed Assault Rifle
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Dragon’s Breath Sniper Rifle
  • Chug Cannon
  • Venom and Carnage Symbiotes
  • Recon Scanner

Accurate at every range while dealing respectable damage, the Suppressed Assault is perhaps the best version of this weapon. It does it all, and you’ll want to sidegrade your standard ARs when you can.

With the vaulting of standard Snipers, the Dragon’s Breath Sniper is the only long range weapon that can nail an enemy on a headshot. It also works great against wooden structures. Similarly, the Rocket Launcher is always powerful and can deal with enemies in a variety of situations.

The Chug Cannon keeps you and your teammates topped up, and gets only better in multiplayer modes.

The brand new Symbiote items give mobility and some good damage against structures. It yanks enemies to you, too. Check out our full look at these Mythic items here.

A-Tier

  • Sideways Rifle
  • Sideways Minigun
  • Assault Rifle
  • Burst Assault Rifle
  • Pump Shotgun
  • Rapid Fire SMG

The new Sideways weapons are powerful, and get even stronger the longer you fire. You just have to jump through some hoops to get them, as they’re only obtainable in the Sideways. The rest of these weapons are the best in class, but the choice of Assault or Burst Assault will vary depending on the range of your other weapons.

B-Tier

  • Charge Shotgun
  • Submachine Gun
  • Lever Action Shotgun
  • Rail Gun

These close range weapons are things you’ll always need in your inventory. Rail Guns are still great, versatile choices if you need to bust some builds. Just watch out for the Armored Wall.

C-Tier

  • Automatic Sniper Rifle

This Sniper variant just isn’t as powerful as the others. It deals peanut damage, but it can fire quickly. It just doesn’t give that decisive kill that makes the Sniper weapon class powerful. You’ll need to practice tracking moving enemies with this, and it doesn’t do too well against structures.

D-Tier

  • Pistol
  • Harpoon Gun

As always Pistols are too hard to use to warrant their damage, unless you can score an Epic or Legendary one. Harpoon Guns are actually quite useful in the early game, dealing a cool 75 damage and setting up an enemy for a follow-up attack. Just drop it after the first circle appears.
