Rifts in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7: How to activate a Rift by purchasing it from a character

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season is only a few days from concluding, but there’s still a handful of quests to help you get any rewards you may be behind on. One of the easier quests has you activate a Rift by purchasing it from a character. Where are the Rifts in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7?

Rifts can’t be found in the over world like in previous seasons. Instead, you’ll have to purchase them from one of five NPCs. You’re looking for these guys:

• Beast Boy at Weeping Woods
• Bunker Jonesy at Lumber Lodge, south of Misty Meadows
• Guggimon at Lockie’s Lighthouse
• Joey at Dirty Docks
• Rick Sanchez at Defiant Dish, south of where the Zero Point was

Sometimes, these NPCs won’t spawn at these locations. Take these opportunistically, like heading to Weeping Woods or Dirty Docks depending on the Battle Bus path.

How to activate a Rift by purchasing it from a character

When you’ve found one of these NPCs, you can buy the Rift for a cool 245 bars. It can be a pretty penny, even with the discount from this Wild Week. I recommend doing some looting first, as the Rift you activate will help you make it to the circle quickly even if you’re further out.

Activating a Rift will teleport you to the sky directly above where you activated it. You’ll go into free fall as if you jumped off the Battle Bus, so you can activate your glider and make it to safety or higher ground.

Completing this Quest will not only grant you 30,000 XP, but some progress towards the Bargain Bin Wild Week Legendary Quest of spending Bars.

Chapter 2 Season 8 is quickly upon us, and we still don’t have any official news on what it could entail. If leaks are to be believed, maybe everyone’s favorite orange ninja will make an appearance.
