How to Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck on Fortnite
By Andrew Lin
Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck on Fortnite is an Epic Quest in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. Here’s how to find the Shipwrecks and the Family Portraits you need.
Chapter 2 Season 5 is wrapping up, and everyone’s scrambling to complete their Battle Passes now that the last major update of the season has dropped. If you’re backlogged on quests (like me), you’ll want to make sure you prioritize easy quests like this one.
How to Find a Family Portrait from a Shipwreck on Fortnite
There are two shipwrecks you can go to, but you only need to find one family portrait. One shipwreck is located just west of Sweaty Sands, where the beach points inward. The shipwrecks are on the souther edge of the beach here. There are two portraits you can find here.
The other shipwreck is found on the southeast end of the island at Shipwreck Cove, where the water forms a lake along the white, snowcapped mountains by Catty Corner. There are three shipwrecks here to choose from, scattered around the lakeshore.
The shipwrecks you’re looking for are of large cargo ships. Find the portraits among the rubble and interact with any one of them to complete the quest and claim the 20,000 XP reward.
The areas where the shipwrecks are have pretty terrible loot, so I recommend heading to Sweaty Sands first to load up on gear and then grab a car to head west to the shipwrecks. The area here is easier to traverse than the area around Catty Corner.
If you head to Shipwreck Cove, you’ll be spending a lot of time working your way around the mountains and may get stuck in the storm or miss out on early game loot. Save yourself the trouble and just head to Sweaty Sands first.
