The new Baller vehicle was disabled for a few hours Monday morning for investigation.

Since its addition to Fortnite Battle Royale, the Baller has had a rocky rollout. Numerous exploits and bugs relating to the rolling vehicle have been uncovered, including an “instant death” bug and an exploit that uses the volcano to fly high above the island.

It’s likely due to issues like these that Fortnite creator Epic Games removed the Baller from the game Monday morning, explaining that they wish to “investigate a stability issue.”

Luckily for many Baller fans, it wasn’t long before the vehicle was reintroduced into Battle Royale. Epic tweeted a short message that left players wondering about the purpose of the removal and whether or not any changes were implemented.

More from Forever Fortnite

Due to its controversial grappling abilities and inherent protection, Fortnite’s player base has been divided on its addition, removal, and re-addition, and many players took to social media to express their relief or frustration after Epic’s announcements. This is reminiscent of the controversy over Planes from Season 7, which were largely criticized for their imbalanced gameplay, allowing players to easily reach the end of the game with little effort.

Personally, I prefer to offer players who are less skilled with weapons the chance to make it to the end of the game and experience victories. Fortnite Battle Royale has always thrived on goofy items and vehicles anyway, and the Baller fits right in.

What do you think of the Baller vehicle? Was Epic right to keep it in Battle Royale? Think about it and let us know in the comments!
