The five best Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit posts – week two
By Ben Sundock
It’s time for the second week of the Fortnite Battle Royale featured Reddit posts of the week. Without beating around the bush, let’s jump right into it.
The shotguns are so bad they should all be gray
Although they have improved the damage and speed of shot for the shotguns in recent weeks, people are still upset by the severity of the nerfs to the once best gun in the game. This has, of course, led to the Fortnite Reddit trolls redesigning the colors the guns should be.
When the P90 was first introduced, these were fitting, but as of late, I have actually been much happier with the amount of damage dealt by these close range weapons.
Don’t taunt players who you think aren’t playing!
Sometimes – I’ve done it plenty – you ready but then remember you need to grab a drink, get a snack, or get distracted by your phone. This leads to you missing the drop and slowly drifting down to the ground.
This player did this and managed to come back to his game as a player was dancing on him with a shotgun. Well, let’s just say that karma caught up to this player.
The ‘Take the L Dance’ makes it even funnier.
Emoting helps you pick up loot faster?
Here’s an interesting find from Aphistemi_, if you do the ‘Swipe It’ emote, you can actually move to pick up loot on the ground faster. Watch out for the karma we discussed in the previous post after killing someone, but if you want to look cool picking items up, do this.

The Fortnite community sure is creative, and this is yet another thing players can do that I would have never guessed was possible. I am going to try this next time I get a kill and you should too!
Epic Games listens to fans and players on Reddit
This is what you want to see as an active player in video games now. The climate of games has changed so drastically just in the last two years or so, gamers now want to buy a game and see constant updates and changes implemented.
The developers of Fortnite sure have done a great job keeping the game fresh and keeping player’s wishes at the forefront of these updates. When the community has serious problems with a gun or patch, they don’t hesitate to say so.
Epic Games recognizes this and pays close attention to this sub-Reddit. If you have a complaint, don’t hesitate to take to Reddit and let the developers know.
A new stat keeper?
Here’s a really cool idea that I think should already be in the game is seeing the number of kills the player you kill had. If you kill someone who had a lot of kills, you’ll feel even better about being able to take them down.
To add on to this idea, how about adding in a kill leaderboard that you can see upon dying or winning the game? That would make the game even more in-depth.
