With a new week of Fortnite Battle Royale challenges underway, we’re inching closer to Season 5. Ready up and prepare to run into a mob of aggressive players later on.

It’s Thursday, which means it’s time to grind out specific area eliminations, tasks and chests — the devil out of the bunch. Last week, Fortnite Battle Royale players had the task of looting chests in Risky Reels and scoring a goal on several different pitches.

The assault rifle eliminations were not that difficult, along with the eliminations in Shifty Shafts, which saw the most action since it was added to the map. These were probably the two easiest challenges out of the group aside from pickax damage to opponents.

Here is a quick rundown of how to earn the reward of 5k XP and 50 battle stars this week.

Deal Headshot Damage to opponents (0/250 — 5 Stars)

Our first challenge at the top of the list is headshot damage. Again, nothing entirely too difficult unless you’re spraying all over the place instead of keeping a steady shot on your target. If it becomes a serious challenge, try lowering your sensitivity in the game settings.

For those able to do some serious damage with either a bolt-action or hunting rifle, this will be a piece of cake. Don’t count on finishing this right away if you’re using a pump shotgun. Why am I getting nine damage to the head with a blue pump?

Search Chests in Salty Springs (0/7 — 5 Stars)

This challenge always seems to be the one that takes a little while to complete. Salty Springs is always crowded, so expect a ton of traffic.

Tip: Try to complete this in solo mode that way you don’t have to fight with a duo partner or the rest of a squad. Yes, you’re still going to get a decent amount of enemy drops but at least you’ll be able to control the situation if you find a weapon first.

Rinse and repeat if you’re unable to complete this right away. Last week’s fun in Risky Reels took me at least 10 games to get the job done.

Search 7 Chests in a single match (0/7 — 5 Stars)

Since you need to get them all in one game, a quick tip to get this done is to either drop Lucky Landing or Fatal Fields. Of course, this is depending on where the bus starts off and whether or not you’re not interested in action right off the bat.

If the battle bus route starts out over Junk Junction or Wailing Woods, Lucky and Fatal should definitely be your drop zone. These two locations resemble ghost towns when the battle bus starts off in the top corners of the map.

Avoid duo and squad games for this. Solo is your best friend for this week.

Search Hungry Gnomes (0/7 — 5 Stars)

Back in week 3, Epic Games sent us on a hunt for seven Rubber Duckies in Fortnite Battle Royale. In season 3, prior to the ducks, we first saw these garden gnomes. They were adorable at first but took a creepy turn when you got near them. They giggled like demons and caught everyone off-guard. It was a horrifying experience if you forgot the new challenges rolled out.

Like the duckies and previous gnomes, these little fellas are scattered across the island – as expected. Here’s a little YouTube video providing the locations thanks to Fortnite BULL.

Search between a Bear, Crater, and a Refrigerator Shipment (HARD — 10 Stars)

Of course, we have our battle star challenge that lies between three landmarks. Try solving it yourself if possible since it’s pretty simple to figure out. However, I know some of you aren’t as patient, so we have a little guide to help you with a quick 10 stars.

Hat tip Fortnite BULL:

Suppressed Weapon eliminations (0/3 — 10 Stars)

Like the assault rifle eliminations, this one is fairly simple. Here are another 10 stars that will be easier to earn in a solo game. This challenge is pretty self-explanatory. Find yourself a blue suppressed SMG (things melt) or even an Epic suppressed pistol and aim for the head.

If you’re lucky, you can get this and the headshot damage done all in one. Boom, 15 stars closer to Tier 100 if you haven’t already reached Omega. Piggyback onto the next and final challenge of Week 8.

Eliminate opponents in Pleasant Park (0/3 — 10 Stars)

Continuing the rotation, Pleasant Park finds itself back in the mix after having players follow a treasure map in week 7.

Try targeting the houses going toward the soccer pitch (North) that was introduced last week. If all else fails, land on the building or near the crater in the Southwest/West forest outside of Pleasant.

So, there you have it. Another week of challenges that will surely put your survival and looting skills to the ultimate test. Hopefully, you’re able to get them done in a timely matter and ahead of Week 9’s release.

Best of luck to you all.
