Epic Games continues to find clever items for Fortnite Battle Royale players to use on the Island. From shopping carts to clinger grenades, what else could they introduce?

For those of you who haven’t heard, the ‘stink grenade’ will be making its way to Fortnite Battle Royale, “soon.” Assuming it’ll be out when Epic Games releases the latest update which is scheduled for June 19 with a 4 am ET downtime as posted on Fortnite’s twitter.

You can read more on the new weapon that will surely stink up the competition here. So, since the games launch in September 2017, Epic Games has removed several weapons and traps, placing them in a vault.

Remember the overpowered Zapotron? Not very many people do. Or how about the submachine gun that resulted in dropped frames or games locking up altogether? I wasn’t a fan of the weapon, so it was great to see it leave since they were unable to figure out how to fix the issue.

Of course, you have the guided missile, jetpack, and crossbow that were also added to the vault. I, personally, will not miss any of the three. Crossbow eliminations were a nightmare and jetpacks made it feel too Call of Duty Advanced Warfare like.

So, what hasn’t Epic Games made available to us? For the record, this is more of a personal wishlist and nothing confirmed or “leaked” from a database.

  1. Claymores
  2. Bear traps
  3. Uzi (dual wield if possible)
  4. Riot shield (credit to a friend) – provide cover as you and a teammate attempt a strong push.
  5. Molotovs (obviously, works on wood structures and would open the door to burn effect)
  6. Striker-12 (shotgun)
  7. AK-100
  8. TAR-21
  9. G3 rifle (popular with Battlefield veterans)
  10. Get rid of the bushes.

Traps/explosives

Speaking of the vault, did you know this game had three traps? They were pretty loud and it was rare to get a kill with them but like using the hunting rifle, it was very satisfying. Once upon a time, we had traps you could place on either a wall or ceiling that would zap enemies.

The good ole microwave days. Now, we’re left with the spike trap that has been tweaked multiple times as Epic searchs for the perfect balance. They trigger almost immediately and do a ton of damage.

Before we continue, I wouldn’t necessarily consider bounce pads as a trap. People have used them to either get ahead of the storm or reach high ground over enemies during a fight. I’m looking for something, more, lethal.

For instance, claymores. Yes, we have plenty of explosives in the game, however, adding claymores wouldn’t be a terrible idea. Sure, they would become irrelevant near the end of a game but could definitely come in handy early on if you don’t have a trap and find yourself struggling to find a weapon.

Place one down near a door, ramp, staircase, etc. to cover your flank instead of having to either remote detonate C4, destroying pretty much everything in sight. Thus, resulting in your position being given away, bringing the attention to you.

Or maybe a bear trap? In Rainbow Six Siege, two operators have traps that will either down or force an attacker to take action in order to continue on. Frost has a bear trap that’s an instant-down, requiring a revive.

Lesion tosses out gu-mines that become invisible once deployed and will force attackers to use the action button to remove his gadget from their foot. This puts the attacker in a vulnerable position to be pushed by a defending operator.

Only, in Fortnite Battle Royale, these bear traps will be available for all to use. So, this is just a brief list and description of what I would like to see happen in the future.
