Exclusive Fortnite giveaways from E3 are going for big money on eBay

Fortnite was one of the highlight games during this year’s E3 games conference despite not making any drastic changes or adding anything to the wildly popular game. Epic Games gave fans exclusive giveaways for stopping by their booth, however, fans are selling those items online.

If you were one of the fans lucky enough to witness the Fortnite Pro-Am held on Tuesday in person, you likely received an exclusive spray paint emote and 2,500 V-Bucks. If I had the chance to be in Los Angeles and had gotten these items, I would be ecstatic.

But I am not one of those people, sadly. Many fans who attended the conference and the Pro-Am event are selling their exclusive content on eBay for insane amounts of money according to Polygon.

These prices are jaw-droppingly high. Based on the digging I’ve done, fans are selling ‘swag bags’ which feature a Fortnite visor, the exclusive event poster, a foam pickaxe, and the V-Bucks card.

The below picture was taken Thursday afternoon.

To put this into perspective, 2,500 V-Bucks costs $25 dollars (and you actually receive 2,800), and the spray paints are unlocked through the Battle Pass which is $10 per season. So, to pay between $250 and $450 for this merchandise is pretty absurd.

You either have to be really well off or love the game more than anything in the world to pay this much money for this stuff. Seriously, are Fortnite Battle Royale pins worth $450?

No, no pin is worth that much!

I can’t believe this is even a thing. Several popular games have given out exclusive content to fans at conferences and events before, but this has to go down as one of the most expensive.

As funny as the red llama with the three E’s is, I will have to pass on paying the big bucks on eBay for just a spray paint.

Be smart and save your money for things that you actually need, like food or paying bills.
