It’s Thursday, which means Fortnite has released week 7 of season 4’s battle pass challenges are upon us. Here is your comprehensive guide to getting these done.

As you now know, Fortnite has changes its battle pass weekly start day from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Forever Fortnite will be bringing you weekly guides to completing these challenges so you can collect your stars and stay up to date with the best battle pass gear.

This week’s challenges are mostly pretty simple, with a dash of annoying sprinkled in to keep players on their toes. Here is your guide to the week 7 battle pass challenges:

Season 4 – Week 7 challenges

Deal damage with pickaxe to opponents (0/250)

Here is your annoying challenge of the week. It’s bad enough that we’re being forced into pickaxe battles but to have to do this for 250 hit points is just mean. If you want to get this done as quickly as possible there are two potential strategies you can go with.

Land at Tilted and go nuts – Strategy number one is the quantity over quality method. Land on a rooftop at Tilted Towers and swing away. There’s a good chance you’ll get into a pickaxe battle seeing as everyone else will be looking to do the same. If you don’t mind taking a few games to do this, it’s probably the quickest way to get this challenge done.

Pickaxe downed opponents – If you play a lot of squad or duo games, you can likely accumulate your pickaxe damage by using the ax to eliminate knocked opponents. This is an easy way to slowly get the challenge done without even thinking about it.

Search chests in Risky Reels (0/7)

This is a risky challenge to complete in on day one of the battle pass week. As one of the newer map additions, Risky Reels is still a bit busier than it should be given its small size. This challenge is sure to spread the loot even thinner.

Your best bet here is to hit one of the covered buildings and try to grab two chests immediately. Focus on the North and East buildings as they usually spawn two chests respectively. There is also usually a chest on the RV in between them that you can grab as soon as you exit the building.

If you choose to knock these off one at a time, grab the chest behind the big screen as it provides some cover.

Consume foraged items (0/20)

Two words: Wailing Woods. You can easily finish this challenge in one game with a trip to the Woods. The woods are packed with shield mushrooms so you’ll come out of them not only having completed your challenge, but with full shield.

A friend of mine says Wailing Woods is a top five finish every time. Since hearing this, I can’t think of a time it hasn’t been true. The materials, extra shield and cover in the area makes it a great, underrated drop-in location.

Be aware that the increased traffic at Risky Reels this weekend is going to trickle into Wailing.

Score a goal on different pitches (0/5)

Fortnite is celebrating the World Cup kick-off this week with a soccer (or futbol) challenge! The three main soccer pitches can be found in a straight North/South line on the inner West side of the map, the others are spread throughout the map.

There are a handful of seemingly random locations that will allow you to score a goal. They can be found in detail here, thanks to our friends at GosuNoob.

Here are all the locations:

Follow the treasure map found in Pleasant Park (HARD) (0/1)

Since we know you are just going to google this one anyway, here is the exact location of the Pleasant Park treasure map ending:

Assault rifle eliminations (HARD) (0/5)

This is possibly the easiest task of the week. I wouldn’t worry about changing the way you play for this one because chances are you’ll have five assault rifle eliminations within the first few matches you play.

If you are lucky enough to find one, give the new thermal AR a crack for this challenge. If you have yet to hear about the game’s newest addition, we’ve got you covered here.

Eliminate opponents in Shifty Shafts (HARD) (0/3)

This challenge won’t be hard. Try to get to Shifty Shafts early in the battle pass week while it is still busy with everyone completing this challenge. Land, find a weapon and go to work.

If you want to secure a weapon and potentially knock off your three eliminations in one game then try landing at a nearby house or at the taco shop/orange bridge to the South. Gather some quick loot then head into Shifty to clean up what is left of the initial firefight.

This week’s battle pass challenges are fairly reasonable given a few of the ones we’ve seen in previous weeks. There is no reason not to have these done well before the week 8 challenges drop if you plan on logging a few hours this weekend. Good luck!
