After months of anticipation and leaks, the official announcement has finally arrived: Star Wars is returning to Fortnite.

But this time, the galaxy far, far away isn't just coming to the battle royale mode; it's also expanding into LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival, offering unique gameplay modes and items for players to enjoy.

Upon logging in after the update, players will receive macro binoculars to locate the Rebel outpost. Here, they can unlock iconic Star Wars weapons such as lightsabers, Wookiee crossbows, DL-44 blasters, E-11 blaster rifles, and thermal detonators. The outpost can be upgraded to level ten and will remain a permanent feature after the update.

In addition, an exclusive battle pass for this mode offers rewards like themed structures, furniture, decorative items, and the Chewbacca skin. Moreover, many new LEGO-compatible skins will be introduced, adding even more variety to players' collections.

Chewbacca, the co-pilot of the Millennium Falcon, has been captured, and the players' mission is to rescue him. To do so, they must locate an Imperial checkpoint and free him. Once rescued, Chewbacca will join the player in battle and reward them with his Wookiee crossbow, which can also be found in Imperial chests scattered throughout the area. However, Chewbacca's location changes with each match, adding an element of unpredictability to the gameplay.

Stormtroopers and Darth Vader also make a return to the island, offering opportunities to acquire E-11 blaster rifles from Imperial chests or by defeating enemies. The lightsaber, however, can only be obtained by defeating Darth Vader himself.

Furthermore, new missions offer rewards such as experience points in the season's battle pass and exclusive collaboration items, like the IAA Backpack accessory after completing ten missions. As if the content in update 29.40 wasn't already exciting enough, players can look forward to purchasing Luke on Dagobah, Lando Calrissian, and the IAA Soldier from May 3rd onwards, with many more characters to come.

Get ready to embark on a galactic adventure like never before as Star Wars takes over Fortnite once again, bringing with it a universe of excitement and endless possibilities. May the Force be with you on the battlefield!
