Fortnite has evolved from a mere video game into a sprawling entertainment platform, and a significant part of its success stems from collaborations with franchises and celebrities from various sectors.

Music events and themed content have proven to be a hit for Epic Games, and while these have often featured current pop music stars, something exciting may be brewing for fans of heavy rock.

Today, official Fortnite-related accounts, including those for game modes like Rocket Racing, Fortnite Festival, and LEGO Fortnite, ignited hype for what appears to be a major upcoming collaboration with Metallica, an icon of rock and heavy metal music with a career spanning over forty years.

Each account posted a snippet of the lyrics from the song "Enter Sandman" from Metallica's hugely successful "Black Album" released in 1991, hinting that a significant event is on the horizon in Fortnite, and this time, things are going to get heavy.

According to a report by Dexerto, Fortnite is set to host a Metallica concert in the Battle Royale mode, following similar events with other stars in the past. As per information gleaned from code mining, Metallica is slated to perform in Fortnite on June 13th, serving as the headline act for the new season.

It's worth noting that the song "Master of Puppets" was recently added to the Fortnite Festival catalog, which could be seen as a precursor to what's to come.

Furthermore, leaks suggest that there will be ample Metallica-themed content throughout Fortnite. For instance, in LEGO Fortnite, players can expect skins featuring James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo.

Similar offerings will likely be available in other game modes, each featuring special content inspired by the California-based band.
